The combined Receipt Printing Screen is a simpler way to reprint and re-send invoice e-mails! Re-printing the invoice and re-sending it attached to an e-mail now works from the expanded Receipt Lookup screen with its more robust information and sorting options.
NOTE: This feature is only supported on the CTS-2000 and CT-310 receipt printer
In conjunction with the graphical receipt, we can now show the corresponding receipt invoice side-by-side.
On the Store Information – General – Advanced Receipt Options tab. With Receipt Format set to “Graphical”, the Invoice Preview Options appear. The selections are:
Never – don’t use this feature.
Always – always show the invoice alongside the receipt (for sales – other types of receipts don’t have an invoice).
If Customer is setup for them – the default option – the invoice will appear next to the receipt when the customer selected for the sale has requested an invoice (either printed or e-mailed).
Only on reprint – the invoice will not display during a normal sale, but will be when using the receipt re-print features (from lookup).
Here is what the preview screen looks like with accompanying invoice:
Print Invoice: akin to the Print Receipt button, this prints the invoice to the report printer.
Copies of Invoice: akin to the Copies of Receipt, change this field to adjust the number of printed invoices to generate.
E-mail Address: this field starts with the e-mail address(es)) of the selected customer. Change the address here if you need to change the recipient(s). Multiple recipients can be specified, just separate the addressed with a semi-colon. Note: if you have already configured a BCC address, it does not show here, but does accompany any e-mail. Review the Email Setup topic prior to using this feature
E-mail Invoice: Sends an e-mail with the invoice attached as a .pdf. For systems configured to use SMTP, the e-mail is sent immediately. For other configurations like Outlook or Outlook Express, the button will turn turquoise and the e-mail will be sent once you close the form.
E-mail Receipt: same as emailing the invoice, but with the receipt. Note: the .pdf is per-page, which on a receipt printer is very long.
Formerly, you would be prompted after receipt printing whether to print a Receipt Invoice if the customer communication preference was set to do this. With this new feature enabled, you will no longer receive this separate Receipt Invoice prompt. Printing will now be a two part printing task from the same window – click Print Receipt, then click Print/Email Invoice before leaving this screen. Should you forget to do either, you can easily recall this information. Click UTILITY | Receipt Lookup. Find the receipt, then double-click on that line. This window will be recalled.
Stores NOT using graphic receipts will experience no change to current procedures.
