ETA Exclusion Date Setup - Shipping Setup

Setup ETA Excluded Dates

This table allows you to enter dates for which service is not supplied by the carrier, usually legal holidays.    

When calculating an Estimated Time Of Arrival, the system will artificially skip and extend the delivery time estimate displayed on the shipping screen. 

This is especially useful during the holidays or other busy seasons, to allow you to automatically adjust your ETA dates to account for extended delivery times.

Open The ETA Exclusion Screen

• From your Server, click FILE | Program Setup, Shipping Setup

• Click SETUP ETA EXCLUSION DATES button at the bottom of the screen

Enter A Date For ETA Exclusion

On this screen you can select individual, group, or all services for an excluded date.

• Type a date you wish to exclude

• Click Add Date

• Type additional dates as needed.  Click Add Date after each one.

Add Services To Exclude On A Date

From the list on the side of the panel, you can select individual service to exclude on these dates.  The normal practice is to exclude all services.  You can do this via the Add All button

Click Create Exclusion Dates when finished.  Then click SAVE | Done to Exit.

Other ETA Options

The options on this tab relate to more general delays, such as weather events that happen in major areas of the country.

For instance, if there was a major snowstorm in Memphis that shut down or impaired the operations of the FedEx center, you might receive an email from Federal Express notifying you that all shipments for the next 5 days would be artificially delayed due to this.  You could use settings on this tab to accommodate these types of very unusual delay events
