The Representatives Tab is used in different ways by different store owners. Representatives are set up:
Any time you want to attach a name to a customer listing.
If you use outside sales representatives and you want to track sales volume on accounts generated by them
If you pay a referral fee to businesses that refer customers to your store; i.e. moving companies, estate attorneys, employees who are responsible for adding a new business to your AR accounts, etc.
You may find another use that we have not considered that would work well in your store.
In order for you to use Representatives, you must
Establish and maintain a list of representatives on this tab
Assign representatives to your on-account customers in your Customer Database
Configure the system to Prompt For Representative when completing a sale by checking this option on the Marketing Tab
You must set the system to Prompt For Representative so that sales finished at the POS are credited to specific representatives.
You must assign a Representative to a Customer in the Customer Database in order to track Customer spending.
