GLOSSARY: What Is A Carrier/Service?

Carrier is the name of the freight carrier; i.e. UPS, FedEx, DHL, TNT
Service is a service offered by the Carrier, i.e. Priority, Express, Ground
Class of Service is another way of saying Service
Specials (or Special Services or Accessorials) are add-on services to the base Class of Service. These are usually manually added at the time of processing.
Surcharges are automatically added charges to the base Class of Service charge, usually for dimensional calculations, delivery surcharges, or fuel surcharges.

The ReSource system is biased towards the Enter Key. For optimal processing speed, learn to use the Enter key rather than clicking with the mouse each time.
